WADE COTA RELEASES NEW SINGLE “FAKE IT”
FROM FORTHCOMING 2021 ALBUM ON BIG PANDA RECORDS
(Phoenix, AZ) February 5, 2021 – American Idol Top 5 finalist of season 17, Wade Cota has released a new single, Fake It from his forthcoming 2021 album. Listen HERE
The Arizona singer/songwriter with the deep soulful voice America fell in love with on Idol, wrote Fake It during a very dark time in quarantine as his father was dying.
“When the pandemic hit, I just felt so alone,” Wade says. “My father was sick, and now he has passed. At the time it felt like the world was ending, at least for myself and the music industry. It’s hard for me to say, but what inspired me to write this song was trying to find the strength to not hurt myself. I was having the darkest thoughts I have ever had. I am honestly overjoyed that I put my actions to paper instead of doing something I know would crush my family. Sometimes you just have to get your words out to heal. Things are not back to normal, but I am. I’m very excited for the future, and have been writing a lot.”
Fake It will be released on Cota’s forthcoming 2021 album, on Big Panda Records; a new label formed by the merging of two industry heavyweights – Andrew Goodfriend, President of TKO booking agency, and Brad Patrick of Liveside Music Group.
